Golf Outing in Review
Members and friends of WMSBF took to the golf course on Monday for our 8th Annual Scholarship Golf Outing. Although the rain was frequent, golfer’s spirits remained high, and the outing was a success, raising over $7,000 for next year’s scholarship(s)!
This year’s scholarship recipients, Lucas Timmer, Calvin College, and Amanda Klein, Kendall College of Art & Design, were introduced and honored by Scholarship Committee Chair, Rick Post, at the luncheon with certificates displaying their status as the winners. Both students went through an application process, as well as an interview with the scholarship committee, before being selected.
This year’s scholarship outing took place at Sunnybrook Country Club, a Watermark Property. When the rain finally overtook the grounds, our gracious host, PGA Pro Blaine Anderson, and the rest of the Sunnybrook team, were able to get lunch started a bit early, and give golfers an opportunity to return for another round later this season.
WMSBF would like to send a big thank you to all of our golfers and volunteers, to Watermark and the staff of Sunnybrook Country Club, and especially to our wonderful sponsors and donors for helping to make this outing a success once again!
