2014 Golf Outing Raises $5,010 for Sustainable Business Scholarships
The 9th Annual WMSBF Golf Outing at Sunnybrook Country Club Raised $5,010 to fund fellowships and scholarships for local sustainable business students. WMSBF recognizes the critical role that higher education plays in preparing future leaders of the sustainable business movement. We believe that long-term and lasting success depends on both an expanded pool of sustainability savvy professionals and a transformation of the higher education system; integrating sustainability into every course of study and every curriculum.
To help promote this thinking, the WMSBF awards up to $6,000 in fellowships each year to local college students who are creatively promoting sustainability in their institutions and communities.
This year’s event presented by Valley City Electronics Recycling. Other sponsors include Amway, Covanta, Herman Miller, Aquinas College, FTCH, IDA Design, Integrated Architecture, Padnos, Pilgrim Manor, and Thomas J. Newhouse Design.
